It is looking more and more as though 2 P12 teams among Stanford, USC and UCLA could get #1 seeds, presumably the #1 seeds for the two regionals in Portland. The odd team out will be sent to an Albany regional.

Speaking of post players… who could forget the crew of Olympia Scott, Naomi Mulitauaopele, Heather Owen, Kristin Folkl and Vanessa Nygaard? That was a formidable front court.

Only in the PAC-12 WBB would the coach of the regular season champions, AND the coach that became the coach with the most wins ever anywhere, not win Coach of the Year for the conference !!

In the coaches' vote yes, in the media vote no.

I don’t often agree with the media, but if the vote is about THIS season, under all of the circumstances, it’s hard to argue with the choice of Rueck.

.I agree, taking a team projected to finish 10 or 11 in the conference to finishing a close 4th, in it to the end, is a major achievement

It took a buzzer beater 3 pointer for SC to beat TN. It was Cardoso who made the shot, the first 3 she has made in her career and it was a banker. I'm glad they won. If we get the opportunity to play them, I'd rather we be the first team to beat them.

In case folks missed it, here's highlights of the game. Absolutely ridiculous ending. I have no idea what Tennessee was thinking. 2 timeouts to set the defense and the coach doesn't call one. Plus, they had a foul to give. The look on her face at the end says it all...

TN seems to (almost) have SC’s number this year. They’ve played them closer than anyone else in all 3 games, and almost took them down in the 3rd matchup.

Wow what indeed was Tenn thinking? 1 sec left and no one within 15 feet of Cardoso.
Of course a FT or 2 with 3.7 secs left would have, um, helped.

Well to their defense (or lack thereof), it was the first 3 of Cardoso’s career, so they probably weren’t expecting her to make it.

Iowa beats Nebraska in OT. Awesome game Clark like 5 points in the first half but ends with 34 points and 12 assists

Great game. If we play them in the tourney, on the offensive end, we'll have an advantage with Brink and Kiki. Iowa had to double-team Nebraska's post and then left their shooters open on the perimeter. We have better frontcourt players that they would have to focus on, which would leave other players open.
Defensively, it's not just Clark, but Marshall and Martin who can hit the three, so our perimeter defense would have to be on point

Angel Reese is my least favorite college athlete. She is very talented, but her sportsmanship is horrendous. And she plays for my second least favorite coach, just behind Bobby Hurley.

Bad sportsmanship starts with the coaches.
I sure hope the refs in our game keep it under control.
Cardosa was the hero against TN in the semi-finals and today makes a terrible decision that should get her ejected from the SEC Championship with 2:08 to play.
Van Lith might also be ejected.

Dawn Staley said “no bad intentions.” Sorry, that was the epitome of bad intentions. Lost a lot of respect for Staley there.

The videos on the internet of Angel Reese pulling Cardosa's hair are so disturbing. Happened over and over without a call.
