As far as I can tell there have been nine Stanford baseball players who subsequently played for the S.F. Giants. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten eight of them but definitely not the ninth, however I have faith in the Giants that are on here.

Yes, Don Rose was the player that I was completely unfamiliar with until I researched this.

So we've got 8/9, missing player's SF tenure was brief (27 games over parts of two seasons) and he didn't play for any other MLB teams.

He played three full seasons in the Giants system at AAA Fresno in the PCL and put up batting averages of .352, .324 and .302, but unfortunately never seemed to really get a decent shot at MLB.

I played against Rose, Stanford/SF State in ‘67. Short career. Maybe one or two games with the Giants.
