Deion Sanders is one
Is Bo Jackson, or was his career too short?
BC
Update: no on Bo Jackson. He might have wound up in both the NFL and MLB HoF had he not been injured.

Times up.
Red Badgro. Funny story, we shot a Films interview with him a year before he died. Was the oldest Haoo of Famer at the time. Asked if he had any old photos. He brought out a scrapbook. Shot a few and then he kicked us out. Said we were spies. How did he know?
Paddy Driscoll
Ace Parker

Seven other NFL HOFers played in Major League Baseball. One inductee played before the NFL was formed. Name him and the six other players.
One NFL Hall of Famer is enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Who?
My guess is Jim Thorpe was one. George Halas. I'm guessing Cal Hubbard, the umpire, who appeared in a trivia question on this board not long ago. He's the guy who developed the present-day lineups and game-day positioning of umpires.

Phogge should know this: Who are the only two broadcasters in the baseball, basketball and pro football halls of fame?
[I know broadcasters aren't actually inducted into the halls, but I'm referring to the awards that they give out every year like the Ford Frick Award; broadcaster who win those are listed on a plaque in each hall.)

Yermín Mercedes of the Chicago White Sox generated some controversy when he swung on a 3-0 pitch (by a position player) to hit a home run in the ninth inning of a 15-4 game against the Minnesota Twins. However, that was not the most egregious violation of the unwritten rule against showing up your opponent in this fashion. Which player swung on and hit a home run off a 3-0 pitch late in the game off a position player (7th inning or later) with the largest lead?

RE: Sports trivia thread -

Jeff Kent.
RE: Sports trivia thread -
BostonCard - 06-17-2021
No. Kent is not on the table of guys who have hit a home run late in the game with a lead of 6 runs or more.
The right answer is pretty obscure. The player was a 10-year journeyman who played for six different teams. His 9th inning home run against Pittsburgh was one of just 44 he hit in his career.
