We should be winning by a lot more than two. They don't rebound very well on the defensive end (they graduated two of the best rebounders in the country last season), so we're getting a lot of O-boards. Freshman battle with Belibi and Jackson!

I can't believe we are going to maintain this free throw advantage all through the second half--we have 10 and they have 1 point. So we need to pick up our three point shooting. We are doing well in the paint, largely due to Belibi--22 points in the paint to their 14.
MSU is not known for taking many treys, but the 12 points they have from their 4 makes is crucial to them.
We have 12 O Boards! That is keeping us going. I doubt we can maintain such a lopsided advantage. We have to start shooting better than 33% in the 2nd half.

Yes I hope the refs don't look at the halftime stats and decide to even up the foul count in the second half.

A 9-0 run to start the 2nd half is nice. It is especially nice to see Williams with that trey. We do well at the start of 3rd quarters. Let's see if we can avoid our late 3rd quarter let downs we have had pretty consistently.

Great run to get up 12, but then we start making unforced turnovers. The mandatory timeout came at a good time with our lead still at 10.

After 3 quarter we lead 55 47. Could have been much more if it was not for 7 turnovers in the quarter. Our late 3rd quarter slump was not a complete meltdown, but a lost opportunity.
The good news is that our shooting got a lot better. We are shooting 41% now, they are down to 38%.
Belibi hasn't played in the second half, I think?

We lead 64-53 midway through the 4th.
Our rebounding is stupendous. We have cut down on the turnovers in the 4th. Our shooting is still so-so, but that is probably the tough MSU defense. Gotta prevent an MSU run--you know they are going to go full out full court pressure from here on out.
Kiana goes down, a player falls on her leg. She is helped off with a wobbly leg that does not look good at all.

65-62 with :34 left. Miss St. just used their last time out. Stanford with possession.
Win 67-62. The last 5 minutes was just terrible. They're going to have to do a lot of film review. When Williams went out with injury, no one seemed to be able to bring the ball up the floor or run the offense. Wilson and Brown both turned the ball over under pressure. Jones tried to run the point but players weren't really cutting effectively and she had not so good options. Fingall just got tournament MVP.
