I'm sure the sting of this Texas loss will help them improve in the areas that need work, but I hope that Tara can give the talented freshmen group of DEMETRE, IRIAFEN and BOSGANA some playing time vs the really brutal remaining OOC schedule, which includes current #1 South Carolina, #3 Maryland, #4 Indiana  and #23 South Florida.  And even though they are currently unranked, Gonzaga is a very good team and will give Stanford a good test this coming weekend.

I'm glad, though, that both Arizona and Texas were handsomely rewarded for their great upset wins vs erstwhile #3 Stanford and #6 Louisville, respectively.  Arizona jumped from #22 to #11 while Texas leapfrogged from #25 to #12 in the AP rankings this week.

At least it is the royal "We", rather than "the team".

Interesting that she scheduled 3 scrambling defenses for the start of the season.  The team looked better at doing what they needed on Tuesday, and not just because this wasn't as good a team.  Still, Stanford let them creep back into the game.  Is that on the coaches partly?  Bring in subs when up 20 and let them get some time?
