Where is the hypocrisy in that?  It is readily understandable that any competitive athlete, anywhere would LOVE the chance to compete in and experience the Olympics.  So an American who has the option to do that somewhere else (but not good enough to represent the US) . . . completely understandable.  All power to them.  That is not Gu - she could have represented the US.  There is nothing hypocritical about not supporting that decision while fully supporting Scenario A's decision.  But you know that.

Look, she can choose to do whatever she wants.  No one is telling her no.
But don't state or imply that I have some obligation to like or support her decision when she opts to wear another country's uniform when she could have worn the USA uni.

Eff GU! (Obviously, I just like using that phrase!).  

P.S.  I really hope she continues to represent China in future games, too.  Even if she flip flops, I won't be rooting for her down the road.  She's made clear her loyalties . . . or at least preference$.

P.P.S.  Oh yeah, congrats on another gold.  Whatever . . .
