Utah in trouble late in the 4th. Many wasted opportunities to stretch a lead and pull ahead. Hate watching LSU. Utah doesn't look very good though. Not a great sign for the Pac12 if they go down and Colorado loses tonight too.
Utah can't guard the post. Yet LSU is not any bigger than us a team. Did Utah struggled to guard us inside?

The Utes pull ahead with less than a minute to go. Pretty exciting game.

The biggest reason Brink didn't have more hype or more buffo stats? Her name is Haley Jones. Most of the top players in the country are one-woman superstars (Clark at Iowa, Siegrist at Villanova, Reese at LSU, etc.) Even Boston's had much less lofty numbers this season, now that she has Cardoso alongside her in the low block and a more well-rounded cast of players on offense. I fully expect Brink will be a first-team A-A next season and among the leading contenders for POY.

Sad end for Johnson missing the FTs the first an air ball Utah played great LSU a bit better. Hmm no foul at the end

Very sad for Utah. Very sad for Johnson. There are unhappy endings for more than 300 teams, only one happy ending. Utah had a great season. Good luck to them next year, except when they play us.

Really feel for Johnson, such a great player. What an end to the game. And I agree with BobK -- where's the foul at the end, on the Utah three attempt? To my uninformed eye, looked like one. I really, really wanted Utah to win this one . . . another bummer. Now I have to cheer for Colorado and UCLA, two of my least favorite teams in the Pac12. And there's the awful prospect of LSU getting to the final 4. I hope Miami can take them down, but am not optimistic.

Colorado looked strong in the first half and finished well, taking a 1 point halftime lead. But fell apart in the third quarter.

Iowa playing like we should against teams like Colorado. With pace, poise, attack the basket. Leading to a double digit lead.
Missy is bad but that’s pretty much a given.

Colorado fought back in 4th but it wasn't enough. Iowa wins 87-77. Clark was her usual awesome self, but her surrounding cast was very strong as well. Now, only Pac12 left is UCLA. Ugh!

Ole Miss goes down by 10 to Louisville. Wonder how we would have done.

Louisville win because they were not timid. Similarly, Iowa was tougher and better balanced than CO!

If I had to make a bet before the tourney began, the Elite Eight is where I would have bet on our losing (second game away from home). Didn't really expect us to make the Final Four, but I sure didn't expect a second round loss at Maples either.

But loss by loss it became increasingly obvious that something was amiss, and expectations got eroded bit by bit. By the end, in my worst nightmares I imagined something like our loss to Andy Landers' Georgia team in the sweet sixteen in 2013. But the loss came even earlier.

Yeah, and Ole Miss losing by ten to Louisville in the next game clearly showed they had not suddenly become some kind of powerhouse.
Definitely a disappointing season.
