for most of each game, stanford usually plays one pg, 2 wings, and 2 forward/posts though that can vary with the opponent; and, i suppose, kate may eventually stray from tara's approach.
I think we may see three PGs (Hailee, Chloe and Shay) in at the same time on occasion this year.
Regarding the earlier comments about Kennedy, there was one clip from a scrimmage earlier in the summer that showed Kennedy with an impressive spin move as she was driving toward the basket from the FT line. Very impressive stuff. I looked and couldn’t find it, but I’ll look some more. That and a couple of other snippets of video have me thinking she is a lot more aggressive, confident, fluid and nimble this year.

Right? I'm assuming Lepolo starts if healthy.

I'm sure hoping she's healthy and i shouldn't doubt her. Last year was so painful to watch that she deserves some payback from the injury gods.

Here is the spin move (with a nice lefty finish too!) from Kennedy Umeh about 43 seconds in. I can’t imagine her attempting anything remotely like that last year.

I hope so, but I tend to discount a heavily edited practice hype reel.

A slightly underwhelming schedule IMO.
We really should be able to handle most of it and that stretch of Washington, Tennessee, and Oregon will be key. I'd think right now we might only be favored in one of those matchups - with Oregon losing more than we did in Kelly and Kyei.
Gonzaga lost Ejim, Wazzu lost Wallack.

It’s the schedule I was anticipating. Young team three SRs two who haven’t played much one who missed last season
Get used to playing as a team win some games get confident
I like it

So, the first Cal game will be Dec 11 or so. After Tenn, before Washington & Oregon.
Then 3 weeks in January on the road.

I thinks it looks like a great schedule for our young team. Tennessee, Washington, Oregon all at the end of nonconference will be tough. At Washington State and Gonzaga will be tough but winnable road games. It seems like the right mix before ACC play. Not the toughest nonconference we’ve had but our team is young.

anybody having tech issues w calendar? at first it only added OOC, then included conference, but now my laptop cannot sync this subscribed calendar (as I use iTunes rather than iCloud due to replication of contacts and calendars which occurs otherwise)....

I gave up when I saw yet another company wanted permission to view my calendar. The heck with that. What happened to being able to download a simple .ics file?

I see on social media the women’s team got the unveiling of their new locker and team rooms today. Two years in the making. Looked pretty nice and modern from the videos and based on player reaction, must have been a pretty big upgrade from what was before. Anyone know if it was just women’s basketball, or who else benefited from that large construction project?

There's a video of the WBB players' excitement on seeing their new digs. It's on the Fast Break Club site,

ESPN just came out with its preseason rankings and we were nowhere to be seen:
https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/46510819/womens-college-basketball-preseason-top-25-2025-26
Coincidentally, they used the rankings to highlight the transfer that would have the most impact on that team and that only underscores in this day & age, how much of a disadvantage we are at in how the collegiate landscape is. It makes securing the elite prospects and pieces of the puzzle through the traditional recruiting process even more critical to our success.
