Setting/hitting often out of sync. Obviously, it will get better, but what a luxury a 4th year setter and libero were.

I choose to optimistically view this as a great educational opportunity. The last time we had three strong players of this caliber at 3 unique positions was the fall of 2016...so I'll think of the growth these three can have together and the impact -- even if not nearly as quickly as Plummer et.al.!

Stanford off to a dreadful start against unranked LBSU. No hitting and no blocking so far. Still early.

Stanford looking better in set 2. Unranked LBSU still looks like the better team.

Rubin with six aces thus far. Stanford changes over to 5-1 and going much better.

I’m so glad they finally switched to 5-1. Nice to see them running slides again. It’s seems like everyone especially the middles are more comfortable in 5-1. There’s more flow now.

I haven't checked the stats. Both teams combined for over 30 service errors.

LBSU had 17 SE and 3 aces; Stanford had 15 SE and 8 aces.
Stanford hit 0.000 without Rubin, 0.337 with her. She hit 0.200 herself, but the passing was much better.
