Micah Ford is now the second-leading rusher in the ACC. His 291 yards only rank behind NC State's Hollywood Smothers, who has 380(!) yards on the season.

Anyone else notice how the ACC assigned ref had a distinct Boston accent?  Not that I seriously thought that meant he was biased towards Boston College...
Yes. And even the ACC game announcers mentioned the BC holdings not being called.

Ford doesn’t have a lot of top end speed but he def looks a step faster and more decisive this year. Throughly impressed with the work Reich and go have done with the RB’s and Defense

We go @VIRG with Cavs favored at home.   Worried about our injury report from BC game.
But Cavs defense is highly porous.

RE: BC Game Thread - needle - 09-14-2025

Going into the BC game, Stanford ranked No. 91 in scoring defense (points allowed) and No. 125 in scoring offense.

UPDATE: After the BC game, Stanford now ranks No. 75 in scoring defense and No. 118 in scoring offense.

Many memorable points of the game.
My two favorite:
The epic goal line stand leading to their fumble
Late in 4th quarter when we were gonna run the ball, they knew we were gonna run the ball, but we did it anyway.

Our injuries seem ubiquitous
Way more than most
I don’t get it

I see this game as being more evidence that it is foolish to have teams on opposite sides of the country be in the same conference.

IMO foolish is an understatement.

It’s probably more recent than I think but it FEELS like it’s been at least five years.

Actually, we did it twice last year.  236 yards at Clemson and then 225 yards at home against NC State.

We also had 209 yards against USC in 2023, 221 yards against USC in 2022, and 203 yards against Vanderbilt in 2021.

Last year's games are not quite the same because Ashton Daniels had most of the yards against the Wolfpack and was a major contributor at Clemson. But yes, last night's performance could be an outlier against a weak rushing defense, especially given that we'll probably be starting two freshmen on the OL.

We still have three chances for 9am-10am PT kickoffs….

Is he Tommy’s or Dickie’s grandson?

Fair, but the question was when was the last time we ran for 200 yards, not when was the last time Stanford running backs ran for 200 yards.

FWIW, going back a bit further (pre-2019) it was a regular occurrence.  In fact, we used to have a running back that routinely ran 200 yards by himself.
