Stanford beat UCDavis 5-0.  The usual teams of Belardi & Sorra back at the 1s and I.Clarke & Stowell at the 3s, but otherwise various other players seeing action.
The international team of Andersson & Gusarova did drop a set, but squeaked by in the third, 22-20.

St. Mary's up next.  They were pretty good ~10 years ago, but I don't expect much of a challenge from them today.

Freshman Mikki Carlin and senior Sophi Kubiak playing at the 5s did lose a close match to SMC, 21-17, 24-26, 13-15.
Stanford won all the other matches.  

Stanford should stay #1 this week.  
Next weekend's matches within the MPSF, especially against Texas and UCLA, will be much more competitive.

I believe the Stanford team collectively went 39-5 in sets this weekend. 

I might go to the Texas match on Saturday.  The USC schedule says the first 75 fans get free USC sunglasses.

I like the USC sand venue because they have stands with a roof over top close to the courts.

Stanford swept unranked Oregon, did not lose a set, with the usual line up.
BigTen+ initially had "technical difficulties", but eventually the stream started.  Showed one court at a time.  

Next up, #13 LSU at Noon.

Squeaked by LSU 3-2, with three matches going three sets.  Stanford won the 3s, 4s, and 5s, while the Tigers got the 1s and 2s.

The Cardinal will need to play better against Texas and UCLA.

I seem to remember Oregon not being serious about BVB. Poor facilities, Title IX lawsuit, etc. Has that changed?

Oregon's beach facilities were horrible to the point where players were publicly complaining. I read they did make some improvements. 

#1 and #2 teams losing to LSU was disappointing.  I'm unsure about what will happen tomorrow.   It's suppose to be extremely windy tomorrow which complicates things.  There are buildings surrounding two sides of USC beach courts but I don't think that will help much.

I just realized Stanford is playing at UCLA's Mapes Beach today, not USC.  (USC and UCLA co-hosting this weekend's MPSF "Rumble".)

Stanford up 2-0… but the one’s are in the third set and down 2-4, and the 3’s and 5’s lost the first set (though Fisher/Hoffman are up 15-10 in the second).  Could be a nail biter.

I.Clarke & Stowell led 4-1 at the first side-change and never looked back, winning 15-6.  Stanford 3-2 over Texas, winning the 2s, 3s, and 4s.
