Just once, his rookie year, he finished 7th with a 37.1% caught stealing rate.

I’ll bet Stan Williams of the Dodgers et al had some innings where he got close but we didn’t GAF back then. We completed games.

First Afro American no hitter. Easy guess Newcombe
But maybe the guy who took a no hitter into the 9th walked the bases loaded then finished his no hitter. One of my all time favs.

Sam Jones when he was a Cub in '55. Had one taken away by a scorekeeper at the LA Coliseum and lost another to a Walt Moryn HR, both while pitching for the Giants.
