10 QBs were selected in last year's draft
That's a pretty high rating for a guy who's played one season with a crummy OL. And, I agree with it. Don't expect him to leave though.

With the academic quarter about to end, I wonder whether we’ll see a Josh Pakola update in the next few days.

I was wondering the same thing... Would be a CRITICAL addition.

Been working on the 2022 charts. As a Christmas present, I'm going to try to post them before the 25th. They will require some continued tweaking as the winter and spring progress to account for new signings (as we approach the old signing day), transfers in and out (hopefully the former, certainly the latter), graduations (some with eligibility remaining, including walk-ons), retirements, and draft declarations (we will see...).

Added Thunder Justice Keck to transfer portal designation.

Combining two recent threads here: (1) all the hand-wringing over the 2022 DL depth chart; and (2) the awe over the brobdingnagian number of players in the transfer portal who may not find a home. Can Stanford find a worthy DL transfer candidate with the academic record to get admitted? I don't have any illusions about another Brennan Scarlett, but an Isaiah Sanders level player would be welcome.

They are out there. Will we pursue? Likely no. The staff doesn't do that, much to the chagrin of many including myself.

Any idea why that is the case? Assuming they aren't just plain lazy, is there any other stated reason?

Probably just satisfied with “Oh no, we don’t do that.” Coupled with a smirk meaning that fans and alumni just don’t get this complicated game called football. Give me a f****** break.
I was involved with recruiting at a D2 school. It’s not rocket science, just a ton of hard work and boots on the ground for the whole staff.

It’s just harder. Grad transfers are going to have to apply and get into a graduate school. We have trouble getting many of our own players in, let alone those who come from elsewhere and don’t have some knowledge of what it takes to get in, or how to get started on the process.
Again, not to say it’s impossible, as Isaiah Sanders’ existence attests, but the odds are against getting grad transfers in, so you have to ask yourself if it is worth it.
Still, as Sam notes, for some positions in some cases, the answer is yes. And for DL next year, the answer is “hell yes”.

This domer is now in the free agency portal, per 247 he had a Stanford offer. No idea if his academics make the grade.

His football production does not make the grade, let alone his academics.

I assume you’ve watched our play at safety recently. If this guy has most of his limbs intact he would be worth a look.

He is now an ILB, at which we are 4 deep. We can talk about needing a transfer there in another year or two.

Those of us with longer memories on TOS will remember how recruiting took an uptick after Harbs added ME-97 to his staff. All of a sudden we seemed to "see" a lot more prospects out there. (Of course, Harbs offered a zillion guys every year.)

4-deep with mediocrity (except for Miezan who is above average). However, a transfer is unlikely to be any better.

After last season, maybe mediocrity would be an improvement.

I thought JMF showed flashes of ability. What do you think of him?

JMF and Damuni are the best 2. Miezan was graded poorly by PFF. That's explainable by having little consistent starting experience, though. Recall Curtis Robinson's position switch.
RE: 2021 Stanford Football Personnel -
BostonCard - 12-22-2021
JMF had the same issues with experience and loss of games due to injury as Miezan. And Miezan was a starter while JMF was not, so someone thought he was better.
