Ashton just signed with an agent for pro basketball. Hope she lands where she thrives

BosCard I hope you are right that would be great
Great news, but I hope the coaches design more plays for her. All too often, she stands on one corner, the other team assigns someone to sort of face guard her, and it is 4-on-4 basketball with the other 8 players.

Wish her the very best, she seems by all accounts as a quality person and great teammate. I was hoping that she would have a breakout senior year. Still amazed that she will graduate in 4 years with both a bachelor's and master's degrees.

My favorite player - also wishing her the best. Aside from bb and the degrees she was also an intern at an Investment and Management Company for the past 1 1/2 years

Nice to have official confirmation. Glad she is coming back. She should be able to set a ton of records.

We still need a plan for what to do when Hannah is so closely guarded that she can’t get open. On the one hand, I can see the argument for letting her play 39-40 minutes because all it takes is a moment of chaos (steal, loose ball, sudden fast break, etc.) and it’s an instant 3 points.
That said, I wonder if Bosgana or Nivar might be better against a defensive stopper because they can drive, dish, handle the ball and are both better on the offensive glass. They might even both be better defensively. Even if this isn’t entirely true, I still think we need a viable non-Hannah lineup (perhaps with Ogden or Agara) that we can at least experiment with.

We've seen (actually more last year than this year) that Hannah can make layups and can hit the midrange, and Tara likes her defense. IMO, her next big step is improving her handle. That would help Stanford next year as well as her pro prospects.

We need more guards who can score with the ball in their hands. Ideally guards who have the speed or body control to finish at the rim, the body control and shooting ability to stop on a dime and hit a mid range jumper and the shooting ability to hit the three. All three would be great but even two of the three would be good.
Given the importance of this, maybe we go with 3 guards who can score off the dribble in the 2024 class and just one post/forward. I’m the ‘21-‘24 classes we will still have Betts, Iriafen at center, Agara and Demetre as shooting 4’s and one 2024 post or forward. If Betts continues to develop, that will be a Final Four level front court. Maybe we need a lot more ball handling/scoring guards and then let them all compete for the starting 1,2,3 spots with Lepolo, Nivar, Clardy and Ogden

Did anyone see the McDonalds game? The two MVPs were both Stanford finalists. Hannah Hidalgo and Watkins. How did Ogden do?

It looks like she played 13 minutes off the bench scoring 1 point with 2 rebounds and 3 assists:

I didn't watch this one. In the past the MVPs were usually point guards who hogged the ball so much that hardly anyone else touched it other than by getting a rebound.
Of course since I didn't watch, maybe this one was not like that at all.

Ogden posted up almost as much as she waited at the three point line. She didn’t really get passed the ball very much. My initial sense is that she is more of a Haley Jones style versatile player who can play on the perimeter or post up a smaller defender.

Yes, she didn't get the ball much, maybe 2 points, 2 rbs, 2 assts, and she posted up quite a bit on the side of the lane. Reminded me of Jordan Nivar in build and action. There were a couple of guards who didn't pass the ball much. Only one deserved to keep the ball more than others, Hanna Hidalgo, a pg headed to ND. She looks 16 and is reallllly good. Too bad we missed on her. Juju Watkins started and when subbed in for, she sulked on the bench. Not a good look. But she is going to be a big star. Can handle, move, jump and hit the three pt jumper.

Watkins has been called a once in a generation player. Didn't do anything in the game to hurt that image.
I suppose if she is a bit of a prima donna U$C is a good place for her.

Ogden had a few nice passes, but as others said, she didn't really get the ball too much. She doesn't seem like the type that is going to do well in all star games where there is no offensive system and players create their own open shots. I think she is going to be better in a system. So, honestly, it was really hard to tell how good she will be. Most the players just penetrated or took outside shots and there was no playmaking whatsoever throughout the whole game.
A few stood out though that had been on Stanford's radar. Obviously, JuJu is going to be good. But as stated, she is a me first type of player and not sure how that would have worked with Tara. Hidalgo is good and quick; had a ton of steals but also a lot of turnovers. Amanda Muse (UCLA bound) was actually really good, very quick down the court. In ways she reminded me a bit of Brink in that she can is tall but can move and run.
Others that stuck out were Fulwiley, whom is heading to South Carolina. She fits their mold. She is quick, but can be a bit out of control at times. Very athletic. Jada Williams stuck out also mainly due to her big personality. Risch, going to ND, looked super solid as well. She can shoot and pass. Both UConn recruits also look solid -- Shade and KK Arnold. Arnold is quick and can handle the ball. Shade is traditional but solid all around and hustles.

I only watched the first half and thanks to all for your observations
I have loved Muse for several years wish we could have gotten her but as we saw an inside player
