He looks extremely strong in his junior highlights. He decleats offensive linemen. I bet the competiton is not high level but still impressive.

I remember wanting to get home so badly to eat dinner after practice that it was all about getting the gear off and back into your clothes as fast as possible. The idea of putting on the same grimy practice pants and jerseys several days in a row seems barbaric now, but the school only washed game jerseys. We had to take our practice stuff home to wash if we ever wanted it washed, and teenage boys aren't going to clean their practice jerseys every day. I suppose with all the vulcanized rubber fields these days its not quite so bad as when everyone practiced on grass, dirt, and mud.

Landon does not compete in a very high level football league. the league is better known for good lax than good football.

Joseph has an offer from Michigan State; I'm pretty much on-board with getting any defensive player Michigan State wants.

From my Michigan friends... KJ Costello scheduled to visit Ann Arbor in next two weeks. They claim he was ready to commit a year ago to Hoke and believe they lead for him. I reminded them that it's 18 degrees in Ann Arbor today and 75 in Palo Alto. This may end up being the next big Harbaugh-Shaw battle.

Why would a California kid who has offers from Stanford, U$C, and UCLA want to go to a mediocre Michigan team to play for a coach who's under fire? That part of it makes no sense. I'm not saying Michigan is out of it now. Harbaugh is persuasive to some. I'm just saying I don't buy that Costello was ready to commit to Hoke last year.

Seemingly, Michigan is at the top of the list for another 4-star QB they've offered. The question is, I guess, how long Harbaugh can slow-play that guy while waiting for Costello (assuming Costello is closer to the top of his list.)

I live in a town where it seems like 50% of the people are Michigan alums. They are all delusional about their football and believe Ann Arbor is the preferred destination of every 18 year old 5* in America. In 2010, I told them Harbaugh was going to the 49ers (before job was open) and not Michigan. They called me crazy. In 2013, I told them Harbaugh would be their coach within two years. They called me crazy. When they hired Harbaugh, I told them that he would make a run at Turley and Anderson but not be able to get them to Palo Alto. They called me crazy. After the comments about Costell yesterday, I told them he will be playing at the Farm. Guess what, they called me crazy again too.Â
