Just saw the Elena Bosgana highlight reel from the FIBA Women's Eurobasket on the Stanford Women's Basketball twitter feed. And Wow! Yes I know it's a highlight reel but she is quick and has so many eurosteps / finishes in the paint. Plus she looked very confident shooting the three ball. And this was all against high level competition. This wasn't age group competitors, this was against pros or pro-level players on national teams.

So great to see this -- I'm excited! And we'll get to see her in person this fall, not just on tv. And not only that, now I know how to pronounce her name, assuming the announcer got it right.

I think it’s great to see so much of the team around campus for the summer. I’ve seen some social media posts of team workouts on campus. Maybe with no opportunity last year to stay on campus off-season, the coaches encouraged players to stick around this year to work on player development. In years past, it seems as though players were more scattered. Granted it’s only early July.

She looks excellent! The threes have such rainbow arcs--none of that flat trajectory stuff. And she drives through traffic well. As always, Tara will demand that she play defense to earn floor time--and it is so hard to judge that from a highlight reel. But here is hoping that she is the next Borislava Hristova, who she reminds me of.

Found charts like this for other teams at wbbblog.com, but not for Stanford. So I made one. Let me know if anything needs fixing. Sorry about the size. Don't know how to make it smaller.
I hope this is better. Thanks, WBB fan!

Great chart. Couple of corrections -- Jenna Brown joined the team in same class as the Hulls. She took a medical redshirt year last year, so I wouldn't include her on the 2020-21 chart, though the official roster did list her as a redshirt junior. I believe that she'll be listed as a redshirt junior for 2021-22 as you have it here. Jerome is in same class as Williams, was a senior in 2020-21 -- she's on team in 2021-22 because of the Covid extra year (and that's also why Wilson gets to be on team, so I'm not sure if it's appropriate to list her as a redshirt, or maybe it is since this will be her 6th year with the team). Hulls has the same option for 2022-23, an extra year.

Note that everyone who played in 2021 gets an extra year, though starting in 2022/23, the 15 scholarship limit is reinstated. So, for example, Lexie and Lacie Hull could come back in 2022/23 if we don't take in any more recruits (unlikely). We will almost certainly have at least one, and probably two more recruits, so there may not be room, even if they wanted to come back.
Same thing happens in 2023/24 if one or more of Belibi, Jones, Jump, Brown or Prechtel want to come back, and we don't fill with recruits, and then again in 2024/25, where, in theory Brink, Emma-Nnopu, or Van Gytenbeek could come back.

Nice recruiting feature on Ysabella Fontleroy, who holds a Stanford offer.

According to sources online, she's 5'3" already. Sounds like she's a whiz at dribbling.

Guess this mean's she's on Tara's radar! And if she's aiming for Harvard, Stanford should also be in her picture!
