Decent 4 x 400 relay for LSJU W, 3:30.98. The anchor (Wright?) ran 51.36 per the NCAA site.

Thanks, and nice anchor by Valmon. Especially since she probably ran about ~ 402 meters! The LSJU team was set up in lane 3 for the baton passes, I think, and Valmon then had to go around a couple of the other athletes who had just finished their third legs before angling into lane 1.
Tonight, it's the Udodi, Ky and Charles show. GO Card!

UDODI DID THE DAMN THING.
First in a stacked 200m field, absolutely a legendary meet.

Ran the 200 45 minutes after running the 100.
Great interview after the race about proving everyone wrong about his choice to go to Stanford.

3rd is secured. No one within 10 points is in the 4X400.
A podium finish for the team is a really good result.
Texas will finish no better than 13th.
So this was a very good meet.
3 event wins.
3rd place finish
Credit card cup points
AND a healthier NACDA cup gap

Best NCAA finish since the last LSJU championship team of 2000!
Robinson ran a 55 second final lap.

Really fabulous to watch. It takes a few gifted folks in the right place to make an impact. That applies here.

Still amazed at that 200m final.
Four guys ran under 19.9; at the last Olympics, three men were under 19.9.
Has there ever been an NCAA final like that?
And the closeness of the race.
Felt to me like the top guys really responded after Udodi’s greatness in the semi, but he found a way to hold them off.
At the meet, I think a total of 11 guys set personal records. The winner of the 100m, Courtney Lindsey, almost pulled off the double, finishing second to Udodi. The indoor 200m champ competed but didn’t make the finals. Just an amazing event this year!

Maybe we'll get to see Udodi at Worlds in Budapest in August. Running against Lyles, Knighton, Fred Kerley, or whoever else represents Team USA. Can any of them match Udodi coming off the curve? He's a human slingshot!
