Tough match for Kurt 5k/24att, trouble clearing the block. Harvey not as bad but did have 7 aces.  Middles looked good offensively but only 4 blocks for team whole match.DS's gotta pass better

Rubin is just a monster.  Francis stepped up a bit.  Really liked Andrews.  Miner is the best setter in the country.

Harvey was pretty bad other than at the service line.  I do like her though.  I think she has potential  Still a massive step down from Kipp.

Kurt was not good at all in almost any way.  She does not look like a Stanford volleyball player to me.  Need Blyashov very very badly.

I was able to watch it on the Fox Sports app on my Chromecast/GoogleTV. The app is quite anal about forcing you to watch a commercial after fast forwarding or even rewinding, before it lets you see whether you actually got to where you wanted to go. 

Also, the app has a pointlessly poor imitation of FF/REW. You don't see the video going by N times as fast, so you have little idea where you are. You just see a freeze frame of where you started, with a time clock going N times faster than real time, and you have a button that can double the value of N. This seems to be the current industry state of the art for such apps. Yuck.

Happy Labor Day.   

#5 Stanford vs #3 Wisconsin today at 2:00pm PT on FOX.   There will be a relatively large TV audience by WVB standards.  Hopefully the Cardinal can put on a good presentation.

Wisconsin will focus on stopping Rubin.  I hope Harvey can find a way to get the ball to the floor.  I'm optimistic by the end of the season she will figure out how to get around the block.  It would be nice if she could figure it out today.

Wow.  Nice resilience by the team.  Down 24-21, Stanford reels off 5 straight points to close off the match 26-24.  The defense was on fire during that run (all the more remarkable because Oglive was out).  Kurt was a beast the first set; 8 kills on 11 attacks.  Need to clean up the serving (6 errors, versus only 1 ace, but it was on set point).

That was really funny on the challenge.  The announcers were completely fixated on whether the ball touched the floor (tough to see, but it might not have) but completely missed the fact that the ball went off the Wisconsin hand and then her foot to be a double touch, rendering the question of whether it hit the floor kind of moot.

I would have been happy if Stanford got a set from Wisconsin. A win is even better. Wisconsin is so loaded, even with injuries, they had no business losing to Stanford
