Judea Watkins maybe? Please share when confirmed! Was an exceptional game for potential recruits to attend. Maples was rocking.

I keep forgetting that if and it appears very much so, Brown is back we will have 15 on scholaship next year. That's the max.

Another 2023 recruit wouldn't have an impact on next years roster. I concur it seems Brown plans to return next year. Granted, someone could transfer out through the portal opening up a spot. Unlikely but never know. Wait and see.

That’s welcome news. Is she mostly recovered at this point?

I understand Juju Watkins was at the game
Sunday. However I haven’t seen a list of schools from her.

Does Lexi Hull’s monster game against Kansas help us with Watkins? Would it help her envision her role at Stanford? Are their games similar?

From what I have seen, Watkins' game looks closer to that of Haley Jones. A multi-position player who can rebound and lead the break or post up her defender. Watkins looks comfortable shooting the 3 too.

Definitely would say JuJu can play many positions and most similar to Haley. That being said. I do think she is a more natural shooter and scorer than Haley. She can score a lot quickly from all positions on the floor. She is very offensive minded, does not lack confidence in any way, and reminds me a lot of Taurasi.

I agree with this analysis completely. JuJu has a definite swagger to her game and can score the ball. Landing her would be brobdingnagian and make up for having missed on Kiki Rice in the class before.
Her recruitment has been so quiet. Other than a visit to USC and UCLA, I’m unsure where else she’s visited. Assume the regular contenders. Hopefully she stays on the west coast irregardless.

Sammie Wagner (the once Baylor commit) has now committed to Texas. She did visit Stanford last fall. Not overly surprised she chose to stay in her home state.

JuJu's highlights reel reminds me a lot of Carrington - very physical, very unafraid, a lot of steamrolling in the lanes, though possibly better shooter with more of an outside shot. Jones' style is much more fluid and balletic, rather than quite as physical. She finds openings - JuJu looked like she made them. And FWIW, JuJu seems a few inches shorter than Jones, too.

I remember Meyers being a recruit for Stanford back in c/o 2017. I believe she ended her recruitment in picking Princeton well before Kiana, Maya, Estelle, Alyssa, and other dominoes fell. Think she was a stud soccer player too and might've been "Abigail" back then, probably some posts on her on the other board.
Yup, Burton just declared
she's entering the WNBA draft.

I agree. Anytime I watch her highlights I just think "Taurasi". There's just a smooth tempo and fluidity to her game. Might be more Athletic than Diana thought might not quite have her 3-point wizardry (yet).
From everything I've seen I'd say there's no reason not to Stay hopeful about her potentially ending up at Stanford. I think the GPA on her Gatorade blurb keeps her in contention and hopefully she's taking the advanced honors/AP classes. Really, with her game, the NIL changes, and all the exposure she's gotten coming from LA, I give her credit for staying as focused on academics as she has.

if you offer that her gpa keeps her in contention and hopefully she's taking ap classes, why then do you conclude there's no reason to stay hopeful? thanks.
