#3 Louisville barely edged Georgia Tech on a last second shot after a defensive game, 50-48. It was 20-20 at the half and 32GT - 27 Louisville after 3. Louisville did not look like world-beaters, and I did not see anything particularly awesome about the Georgie Tech defense that held them to 36% shooting. Louisville pulled it out by throwing in a trapping full court press at the end of the game. Georgia Tech was playing with 6 players and just seemed to wear out. But GT did beat UConn so they must be doing something right.

I saw the Louisville - Washington game in person earlier in season. I also thought Louisville was unimpressive. They should have blown Washington out and did not. Washington made a late run. Washington's tall center (who is not very mobile and tires easily) gave Louisville troubles by shutting down a lot of drives.

Maya Dodson set her collegiate career high in scoring as she went for 26 pts (13/23 shooting) with 9 rebounds as Notre Dame lost to Duke by two points 72-70.
Also two teams that Stanford beat earlier this season, Maryland and Indiana played against each with the Hoosiers triumphant in OT, 70-63.

Texas went down to Texas Tech in a surprise. USF and Texas really haven’t lived up to expectations after knocking off Stanford. The Big 12 is looking like a mess, with Kansas State knocking off Baylor and Iowa State keeping pace by beating OU. It might just be the year of the Cyclone.

TTech had 26 turnovers but shot 50%., won 74 to 61. Texas shot 29%

Not sure if this was posted under another thread but how awesome to hear another coaching position was endowed. Katy Steding is now the Peiros Family Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.
Only a handful of women's programs have head coaches endowed. I can't name another program in the country that has multiple women's basketball staff endowed. We are it. Credit to those that continually step up in support.

USC/Colorado and Arizona/WSU are games involving what I believe are the ONLY two unbeaten D1 teams left. Both worth paying attention to.

I watched the So. Carolina - LSU game. I noticed that some of the foul calls looked very similar to ones I've seen called in Stanford games. I see them as being called inconsistently but maybe the officials have been told to call them that way.
In particular, when an offensive player hands the ball off, the officials have called a subsequent contact on minimal movement with a defensive player as a blocking foul. This seems inconsistent with how they are calling in on other blocks.
One foul was initially called a shooting foul when the player took a dribble after the foul and before the shot. That was a call against Stanford in the last game. However, somehow the officials changed their mind (how???) after Mulkey complained.

That was awful. Talk about the refs helping to decide the outcome in a close game. Even if a coach is fired up, less than a minute left in a close game, do not call a technical. Pac12 TV announcers were annoying and hard to listen to. Had to mute.

I don’t think that’s good coaching you get a T at that point. Actually I think that’s beyond stupid. And the headline is “coach loses game”

We will find out how "good" Colorado is next weekend in Boulder. But after watching tonight's games, I'd put Oregon as our biggest challenger to winning the conference championship. Oregon has 5 loses (albeit with several injuries and key players out) on the season and Arizona is undefeated. Oregon looks like the better team. Arizona to me seems to be more of a pretender than contender, although they will win plenty of games and finish in the top half of the conference. Not sure what to make of UCLA or Oregon State as neither team has had a game in quite some time with lots of cancellations.

First time I have seen any of the Stanford player NIL deals out in the world on twitter. Kinda fun so I figured others might enjoy the link:
