I don't think it's Trout. Trout topped out at 45 HRs in 2019. Ohtani had 46 in 2021 and Troy Glaus had 47 in 2000. Glaus holds the Angels single season home run record.

BTW, Stanton...who the Giants didn't sign as a free agent...had 267 HRs for the Marlins and 135 in the six years he's been a Yankee. He's made $167 million from the Yanks.

Stanton is correct, he holds the Marlins record with 59 in 2017. 

There are five other players who are still playing and hold franchise records, including:

Matt Olson, Braves, 54, 2023
Jorge Soler, Royals, 48, 2019
Salvador Perez, Royals, 48, 2021
Aaron Judge, Yankees, 62, 2022

Interesting to me how many of the single season team HR records happened in the steroid era. 14 of the 30 teams date their single season HR record between 1997 and 2002.

There's four teams with older HR records. Harmon Killebrew hit 49 for the Twins in 1964 and 1969. Ralph Kiner holds the Pirates record with 54 in 1949. Hank Greenberg hit 58 for the Detroit Tigers in 1938. The oldest single-season team HR record belongs to Jimmie Foxx of the A's, with 58 in 1932.

Looks like the A's will be playing at Sutter Health Park (capacity 14,000) in Sacramento, the current home of the Sacramento River Cats, which is the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The A's have a rent-free lease that will begin next season, and will continue through 2027, with an option for a fourth year, ostensibly prior to their move to Las Vegas. They will not be known as the Sacramento A's, in fact they will not have an affiliated geographical name. They'll just be the A's/Athletics.

Fun facts:
 - The River Cats led all minor leagues in attendance from 2000 through 2009.
 - Their attendance peaked in 2001 with 901,214 fans, and has fallen steadily ever since (though they still led the minors in attendance as recently as 2015 with 672,354 fans). In 2022, they drew 372,769 fans.
 - The River Cats have won five PCL championships, including back to back in 2007 and 2008, most recently in 2019. They also won in 2003 and 2004. 
 - From 2000 to 2014, the River Cats were affiliates of the A's. Starting in 2015, they have been affiliates of the Giants.
 - Prior to 2000, they were the Vancouver Canadians, and were purchased by Art Savage and moved to Sacramento.
 - The Sacramento Kings/Vivek Ranadive are the majority owners.
 - 22 of the 28 players on the current roster have MLB experience.

One wonders how the San Francisco Giants feel about the A's playing on the same field as their AAA affiliate.

Anyway, here's the trivia question: Who is the only one former player on the Sacramento River Cats to be elected to the MLB Hall of Fame?

I am a Hall of Fame pitcher. I won well over 200 games with a .631 win percentage. I led the league in wins twice, ERA once, shutouts twice, WHIP twice, fewest walks per nine innings four times. I won 20 or more games six times and made ten All-Star teams. My lifetime postseason ERA is 1.50 and postseason WHIP is 0.667. My all-star game pitching line is 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA in eight appearances, facing 62 batters in 18 total All Star innings pitched..

And I never finished in the Top Seven in Cy Young voting, though I received MVP votes in seven seasons.
