An Instagram post from 12/1/2023 indicated we'd offered her - however this tweet from 6/1/2024 announces her top 10 schools and we weren't included, so.......

Well that’s too bad. Thanks Palm Tree

RE: Class of 2026+ - Lorcan - 06-12-2025

Stanford strikes out with McKenna Woliczko as her final four are South Carolina, Iowa, Southern Cal, and Ohio State.

That sucks, considering her local ties.

Paye can't let up with recruiting, especially because we can't easily dip into the transfer portal, like other schools and get a second (or third or fourth, in some cases, sigh) shot at getting them to the Farm.

We need to build upon our great class coming in this season and get ourselves back to a contender with more elite recruiting.

RE: Class of 2026+ - BosCard - 06-12-2025

Jacy Abii has a top 10 on her X(twitter) and sadly we are not on it.

The bad news keeps on coming...

RE: Class of 2026+ - Card10Fan - 06-12-2025

Not being in the Final 4 schools for Woliczko is disappointing. I remember with her top 10, she mentioned Stanford was the school that had been recruiting her the longest out of all her finalists. I think we have decent chances with Amari Byles, who is heavy on prioritizing academics and will take an official Stanford visit this fall. Also, Kaeli Wynn daughter of Jody Wynn former Washington coach. Those are the two top 2026 kids to keep an eye on IMO.

She was my primary target in this class. A local kid with tons of talent and smarts.

U16 USA Team: https://www.usab.com/news/2025/05/2025-usa-basketball-womens-u16-national-team-announced

Great to see Reece Gilpatrick make it. Looks spectacular on video. #2 in class of 2027 Ivanna Wilson Manyacka has top notch grades, I'm hoping to hear Stanford interest in the future.

I'm sad about McKenna Woliczko. An incredible athlete, though UConn apparently did not pursue her.

RE: Class of 2026+ - BosCard - 06-13-2025

Agree about Wolickzo but the silver lining is that PF was not a brobdingnagian position of need for us because Somfai has that locked down for the next 4 years.   We really need wings.   Big athletic wings that can defend and drive as well as elite shooters.

This assumes that a) she will develop as expected and b) not take a large NIL offer to transfer somewhere else.  Sadly, in this era, I don't think we have the luxury of assuming that any player will have any position "locked down" for more than the next season.  That makes me sad, but it is unfortunately our new reality.

Thanks!

PN isn't rating 2028s yet but has some high praise for her. https://prospectsnation.com/player/easton-mccollough#campbr-evaluations

International students have visa issues that significantly restrict NIL.

RE: Class of 2026+ - BostonCard - 06-17-2025

International students have potential visa issues, full stop. In this environment I’m not sure you can count on continued access to international students.
