Emily Jones advances Berry to second. 1 out.
Economides flies out to center field. 2 outs.
Izzy Cacatian is the pinch hitter. Started with 1 strike because it took her too long to get to the plate!
And Izzy strikes out. That did not go well. On to extra innings.

Got called into a meeting. Thanks for finishing. Things not looking great right now, FSU leading 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth with two runners on and no one out. Heading toward mercy territory.
Zoe Prystajko threw over 100 pitches yesterday, so this was going to be an uphill battle.
They brought in Prystajko who promptly gave up a double. Now 7-0 FSU, runners on second and third no one out.
Now a sac fly and the run rule is looming. 8-0 one out runner on third.
Ground ball to second, throw home not in time. 9-0, one out, runner on first. I have a noon meeting, but I don't know if this game will still be going on.
Deep fly ball to center ends the inning. Stanford needs two, but pitcher Dimitrijevic for FSU has only allowed a single to Emily Jones (who was called out on the base paths) and a walk to Taryn Kern in 46 pitches.
FSU brings in Danley. With two outs, Stanford has runners on 1st and 2nd but the final batter grounds out to pitcher for the third out.
Stanford is in the running for a top 16 seed, but this was a wipeout.

Stanford softball just got assigned (through technical issues on the ESPN selection show) to Oklahoma State's regional as #2 regional seed. This is absolutely absurd. Stanford beat Ok State *twice* in the regular season, including a 10-0 run rule win (it stings even more to get assigned to Ok State's regional as opposed to getting snubbed for an SEC school given the H2H). Stanford won 3-out-of-4 against Florida State, beat Oregon, but apparently Ok State, Florida State and Oregon should all host ahead of Stanford. Stanford won *15 out 16* to close the season, and had a top 16 RPI. Why play the games if H2H is not going to matter?
It is ridiculous; apparently every year it is new criteria to justify why the "big name" schools should just host.
In the ESPN interview, the committee chair is talking about an "equitable" bracket. Lol, no this was not an equitable bracket.

So agree D4. I appreciate a close call with LSU and Texas A&M. However so many reasons to choose Stanford
