I know this! The Detroit Tigers. No idea why unless they were making a trek up the Coast after spring training. Maybe a connection with a Tiger player, manager, owner?
First PCL game there, only a guess.. Missions or Oaks.
The stadium was also the home park of the Missions.

Combining the two leagues Grove led MLB four times. Pedro Martinez led all MLB five times.
