Re: Injury update for Stanford - Hulk01 - 10-20-2015

Intriguing if Davis returns next year.  Stanford's ILBs then would be:
Davis
Palma
Perez
Okereke
Barton
Branch

That's quite a three-deep, with Branch's explosiveness, Perez's freakish strength, the long-awaited debut of Sean Barton..and perhaps the long-awaited emergence of the most heavily-recruited Stanford linebacker ever, Davis.

On the other hand, there's no obvious star in the mould of Shayne Skov or Blake Martinez.

Maybe he's another graduate transfer then?

TBH I have yet to be impressed by Perez.  Freakish strength but still woefully undersized and has seemed to be out of position more often than the other ILBs.  Not just talking about the NW game.

Perez just looks confused, all the time. Maybe in another year or two.

Blake Martinez was not an obvious star in his first year or two.

Very true.  But today I wouldn't put Perez on a depth chart that Davis should worry about.
