Time of Possession -
mmboys07 - 11-27-2015
My final take. Stanford leads the country in time of possession. This fact does not look good for my Irish. ND is bound to have some stalled drives due to injuries to their backfield. Just can't expect the same all around positive performance from Adams as from Prosise. Prosise has over 1000 yards, even with missing 3 games. Kelly then, will live or die with the pass. Pass happy offenses either go the length of the field in a few plays or are 3 and out. ND, to have a chance, must limit Stanford's possessions, otherwise the ND D, riddled with injuries as well, will be worn out by the 4th quarter. I just don't see NDs offense being equipped to play the kind of game to grind it out, which would be necessary to keep Stanford from having the ball the whole game.
My call:
Reality; Stanford 31 ND 21
Hope: Irish come out of nowhere and play their best game on the road in years. Overcome the injuries and don't turn the ball over; fly to the ball and get a locker room visit from Coly O'Brien and goes on to whip Stanford 41-17.
