Re: Graduate transfers - TrumpCard - 11-30-2015

The trade off worked out well this year. I would be surprised if Stanford can make that happen consistently. I expect that the losses will continue to look like they did this year, but that Stanford won't be able to find a contributor like Scarlett more than once in five years.

Feel bad Skov walked into that dumpster fire of a season, but I hope he is enjoying the change of pace in Atlanta and likes Zesto Burgers.  I guess he did get to experience a field storming on Homecoming (FSU).  That was the strangest win in context since a 1-10 Tech team beat #2 Alabama to open the 1981 season.

Re: Graduate transfers - StannyBoy - 11-30-2015

Skov more or less lost his starting spot to a freshman early in the season. He was also injured for a good chunk of the season. So not really a starter this past season IMO.

Re: Graduate transfers - BobK - 11-30-2015

I saw some of several Ga Tech games early and Patrick started both.  Then injuries at some point mid season.

Thanks Terry great review

We can also include Zach Hoffpauir on the "where are they now list".  It appears that he played in 7 games of Rookie League ball with the Missoula Osprey, did well and advanced to a short season class A team (the Hillsboro Hops) where he played in 10 games and hit .167.

Skov started the first 6 games and the final 2 for Ga Tech. He played in all but one game for Ga Tech this year, but I don't know his physical condition in those games.

Hoffpauir got hurt as you can see by the stats.  I forget the injury.

Ok didn't realize it was that many. Mr. Skov had been giving updates on Patrick on Rivals and had implied he lost the starting spot to that freshman from what I remember.

Even that seems optimistic.  How many college football players (at schools other than Stanford) have the academic record necessary to get into a Stanford graduate program?  Of those, how many are good enough players to be real contributors?  And of those, how many want to make that move?

This year we have our 3rd  grad transfer in T&F.    So it can happen.Â
