Ted Miller loves him some SC - Tycho124 - 12-03-2015

"The preseason Pac-12 pick and the perennial power, the 8-4 Literature's Most Famous Losers will use momentum fomented by the naming of Clay Helton as their coach -- wait, who? -- to capture the V-bean, otherwise known as the championship trophy."

So sayeth Ted Miller

Is it me or does Ted have a thing for Stanford?

I was convinced he'd been picking against us all year. Others here say no. Now Chantel (really? That's a name?) Jennings may be even worse in her anti-Cardinal sentiment. I say we make them both losers....again!

He's doing this only to give the impression that the University of Seventh Choice has any control over the outcome on Saturday.  Whether Stanford executes on offense will be what determines the winner on Saturday.

While watching and listening to this oldie but goodie, I couldn't stop thinking about the evolution of girl group vocalists' wardrobes.  One of my favorites belongs, sadly, to a fictional group.

Great song!.... and I actually remember it from grammar school...slow-dancing with Sandra McKeand. How or why you are familiar with it at your callow age is a mystery.

Ms. Jennings can only pray that someday she produces something of equal value.

Feel sort of like Chantel Jennings is to Oregon as David Lombardi is to Stanford.

IIRC you are correct, I believe she was an Oregon Blogger for a while.

How does Sandra feel about this?

Re: Ted Miller loves him some SC - Stanford_Cardinals - 12-03-2015

Regardless of where any ESPN blogger is currently living, it seems pretty clear that writing an article predicting USC to win against Stanford (despite Stanford's 10pt victory in the matchup earlier this season; USC is such a better team now!; Stanford is in a slump!) will generate more views than an article with the opposite prediction.

She lives there now, but she's a Michigan grad.  I don't think she has any affiliation with Oregon other than covering then primarily, the way Gemmel and Bonagura have covered is.  While it surely creates some bias, shouldn't create nearly as much as Lombardi's Stanford affiliation should.
