I've been aware of Tiger Words for about thirty years, and a brobdingnagian fan since he began winning U.S. Amateurs. I was glad that he chose Stanford, but that connection is just one of my reasons I've always been drawn to him. I started golfing because of him, I watched golf because of him. For me, this interview is more than sad, just as the last six years have been. You don't have to feel sorry for him -- I wouldn't say that I do -- but it's sad to look at what he's brought on himself (the infidelities) and what has befallen him (the injuries). I wish it hadn't happened like that. I wish he were pushing 20 or 22 majors right now with 95 PGA wins. No matter, though. He's still the greatest ever, warts and all.
