Zach Banner will be returning for his senior year at USC.

That means their entire SC offensive line will be returning, and something like 9/11 offensive players. Of course, Kessler will be gone, and that will hurt, but any QB coming in (Max Browne?) will be in as good a position as you can ask, with an intact OL, a deep receiving corps including Juju Smith Shuster, and a stable of running backs.

Banner is a waste of size. Pound-for-pound, he's not very good.Â

Yeah, but he makes up for his lack of quality/pound with a lot of pounds. He was a first team all-Pac12 player.

I JuJu coming back? Is he only a true sophomore? Jesus, I'm tired of playing him already. I suppose Adoree Jackson and Cravens are coming back too, just to give us the "I don't want to play him again" trifecta.

I totally disagreed with Banner as an All Pac-12 first team selection.Â

If he's coming back, then the NFL doesn't want him yet...so we've got that going for us?

I'm betting Cravens is going pro, actually.

Isn't Sua Cravens undersized for an NFL linebacker? I'm thinking he projects as a slower than average safety in the NFL.Â
How will a position switch impact his draft position?

Cravens was incredibly complimentary of McCaffrey after the game. I'll be happy to see him gone, but I don't dislike him.

I like Cravens, too, but think he has to come out.Â
SC wanted him close the action, but he could be a superb strong safety.
SC will have talent, as always, and it won't matter, as usual. It will be the same culture, overseen by another under-qualified head coach. USC will beat themselves in games at least as often as their opponents do.

It will be interesting to watch. The new coach at least seems to be a grown up. It's been several years since the Trojans had an adult in charge.

Yep, the "fear the Tro.jans because look at all the talent they have" bit is getting a little frayed at the edges.
When they start putting championships back together again (hopefully that will be later rather than sooner) I'll start believing it.
