Moving tribute from Hokie basketball coach - Rally - 12-15-2015

We all kno what he's talking about, swaying, fidgeting, looking away.  I have much respect for this coach, his players, and the men and women they honor.  Please watch.

Nice!  That's good coaching.

A little awkward (don't you agree?) that he kept referring to "these men" and there was a woman standing almost right in front of him.  Oops!  But how come she didn't put her hand over her heart?

For those interested, here's a bit of military 'customs and courtesies' during the playing of the National Anthem:
Indoors -- if you are in uniform (hats are removed indoors) you are to stand at attention. If wearing civilian clothes it is appropriate to place your hand over your heart.
Outdoors -- if you are in uniform (hats are worn) you are to salute for the duration. For those in civilian attire it is appropriate to place your hand over you heart.

I applaud the effort shown in the video.

BTW, my first post ever and I enjoy following The Cardboard routinely.  I truly appreciate the information/perception sharing.  In my opinion, a class act group here!

Yes, he should have said men and women but I am willing to forgive him that oversight.  I doubt he meant any disrespect.
