S Damariay Drew has torn his ACL and is done for the season. He does not have any eligibility remaining.

Drew was third on the team in tackles, sixth in TFL, and tied for second in INT last year. Big loss, you'd think.

Drew's replacement, Khari Vanderbilt, is a senior and thus probably experienced, but Vanderbilt's production has been nowhere near that of Drew's. To lose a returner--and a productive one--is going to hurt.

Sad to hear. I never wish for that sort of opponent attrition, even for Cal players. Hoping for a quick recovery and success at whatever he choses to do in the future.
