If Jackson keeps this production up it'll be his in a landslide. Of course that's pretty tricky to do, though in the ACC he should have an easier time than elsewhere. But I expect some regression to the mean from him.

I don't get the hype. He puts up big numbers in blowouts of trash teams. 8 TDs against Charlotte, lol why is he even still in the game.

Yeah but level of competition doesn't matter as long as you face good teams, and Louisville plays FSU, Clemson, and Houston which ought to be enough unless they completely implode. His numbers will probably come down to earth somewhat, and I think he's a brobdingnagian injury risk (especially now that there's a target on his back as the presumptive front-runner), but it's not ridiculous to say he's the leader right now.

"He is the leader" and "He should be the leader" are two very different statements. I agree with you on the former, and with dabigv on the latter.

McCaffrey has played two games that, by his standards, were really just kind of average. And he hasn't had the benefit of playing against any cupcake opponents, where he could have run up big numbers, but instead has faced legit opponents. Nonetheless, he's leading the nation in all-purpose yards per game and he ranks 3rd in rushing yards per game. Just wait until he has some really good games. . . .

The man accounted for 5 TD against FSU which was ranked #2 at the time. Obviously FSU was overrated, but they previously beat a strong Ole Miss team which showed its quality vs Alabama, so it's absurd to call FSU a trash team.
8 TD against Charlotte is ridiculous but he only played the first half, it's tough to ask a coach to remove his QB after one quarter of the opening game. Even if he had only the first quarter he still would have accounted for 4 TD. He has only played 6 fourth quarter snaps this season.
