Football offices and locker room video -

Apologies if this has been posted earlier but it didn't come up in a search.
I came across this web-wandering. Brief video from the design firm that did the football facility.

Thanks JHFTB. I had seen the football facilities and interviews before but not the sports medicine photos. Learned a new word from those photos, "proprioception." It was on the wall next to "mobility" and "stabilization." According to my unimpeachable internet sites, it means "the sense of the relative position of parts of the body and of the strength needed to move them." I guess I'm done for the day since I've learned something, but I've also probably forgotten several things so maybe I should keep active.Â
Cheers,
Pete F.

Sounds something like kinesiology - and somehow my spellchecker can't handle either "kinesiology" or "proprioception".

Yes. Close your eyes and raise your hand. How do you know your hand is raised? Proprioception.

Body awareness might be a crude way of putting it. But yes, focusing on proprioception can definitely improve performance, much as the slow motion practice of some martial arts improves quickness and precision.

That is an excellent explanation for this layperson. Neat! I'm always amazed by my ability to mindlessly do things like toss a water bottle back and forth between my hands without even thinking about it. I assume that's also related (subconsciously knowing how hard to toss the bottle and where my hands are).

Any guesses as to who the various athletes depicted on the walls are? I assume they are "real" former students, but I can't even tell who the lefty-swinging baseball player is... :'(
