Who is that hirsute Bulls center giving the Warriors fits? - Leftcoast - 02-08-2017

I'm flipping channels trying to watch both the Warriors and Cardinal when I noticed a center with big hair and a beard scoring in the paint against Golden State.  Does his jersey say Lopez?

Turns out Robin Lopez is the sort of big man who can do well against the Warriors on offense - 17 pts and 10 reb at the end of the third.  Nice to see Robin playing well even if the Dubs are up by 17.

I was at the game last night (for work  :P) and Robin did look good, in terms of playing hoops.  His "look" reminded me a bit of the Caveman commercials.  He was lumbering, but his shot was solid and he clearly disrupted some of the W's shot making inside.

As for outside, Klay Thompson was lighting it up and the scoring was solid across the board.    I hadn't been to a game in a few years - the Oracle Arena was rocking!  It made me pine for the glory days of Maples!

Yeah he looked good.  Fits?  Kind of.  Dubs only won by 31. They do have trouble with length.  Memphis is going to be tough, then OKC will be going thermonuclear for that game.  Hope KD goes off for at least a half-dollar.

Watch out for OKC in the playoffs.
Westbrook is unstoppable, and they have sufficient complementary players (Oladipo, Adams, and the big who will be back from injury) to cause problems for any team.

But here is the real reason I think the Thunder will be a problem:  there are so many days of rest during the playoffs.  That means the lulls/bad play you see from a tired Westbrook during the regular season will be minimized/eliminated during the playoffs.  The Thunder are my sleeper team to win the whole thing this year.
