There had to be someone between John Elway(did he even bat leadoff?) and Matt Winaker. But Super Bowl rings narrows the field rather quickly. And I'm assuming that, for the same reason as Elway, Mike Dotterer is not the answer (although he did bat leadoff, but only one ring?)...
In the meantime, we're down 6-3, top of 5th, and Winaker is up again.

Winaker continues his torrid hitting with 2 doubles, Brodey brings him home with a double of his own, and the lefty bats tie it up. We score 2 more on the shortstop's throwing error, and it's 3-1 good guys in the middle of the 3rd!

At the end of 2 and a half innings, 1-1. Strong winds to right. They hit a towering solo shot. Hoerner dumped a weak fly in front of the right fielder to tie it up, but that's all we got from a one-out-bases-loaded opportunity.

Up 4-2, we score 2 more in the top of 8 on a two-run infield single in another long inning (we've seen it all this series, and they are making more mistakes than we are; our D has been really solid 99% of the time).
Heading into B8, we lead 6-2. Casty still on the mound.
