Off-season ranking fluff -
washingtonismoney - 06-20-2017
Sports Illustrated is ranking the top 100 players in the country. Meeks is ranked #87. Other notables:
#98: SC's WR Deontay Burnett
#96: SC's LB Porter Gustin
#92: SC's RB Ronald Jones II
#85: ND's WR Equanimeous St. Brown
#84: UCLA QB Over-discussed

A few more:
#79 Luke Falk, QB, WSU
#78 Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
#76 Jaelen Phillips, DE, UCLA
Quibbles:
Don't really like listing guys who have never played a down of college football yet - particularly linemen.
At least as of the moment he got injured, I thought Holder might be a better CB than Meeks. Looking forward to having both again.Â

How the hell can Jaelen Phillips, who's never played a down of college football, be ranked in any such list?

Speaking of off-season ranking fluff, here is a Pac-12 rundown from Bill Connelly.

He's got $C and UW just about tied at the top, and Stanford by itself in a second tier as the only other team likely to win the conference.

Of course, putting Phillips on the list sparks exactly this kind of discussion. Which is exactly the goal.

Good locker room fodder.

Presumably more so for the 9 teams he says have little chance at the title than for ours.

Is "over-discussed" your moniker or a board autocorrect?
