ASU at 1PM - Farm93 - 09-18-2017

In a dreaded Pac-12 Net assignment.

For those that wanted to see the sun.  You get your wish.  >:(

Just keep the losses coming and I am sure we will see even more early afternoon kicks.

Re: ASU at 1PM - French Rage - 09-18-2017

What has happened has happened.  Let's at least enjoy a game the whole family can attend at a nice time of day.

Re: ASU at 1PM - stupac2 - 09-18-2017

Well I guess I'm going to wait another year to bat 1.000 on attendance. I really needed night games for UCLA and ASU, I guess 1/2 isn't so bad...

If anyone wants some lower-bowl seats for ASU for free, hit me up, there's just no way I can make this.

Perhaps your whole family.  I suspect many aren't in that camp.  My kids wouldn't come anyway, but now youth soccer will claim me too.  That's OK.  The only real way to avoid most conflicts would be that 7PM slot, but then it gets late for some.  Not late by ACC or SEC standards with their 8:30 or even 9PM kicks, but late for Stanford's fan base.

Best time for active Bay Area families would probably be that 5PM slot.  Late enough to steer clear of youth sports, early enough to avoid bedtimes of our youngest (and oldest) fans.

Given how few day time games we see I have started to wonder about the move to the shade by the team.

Once upon a time, the football team moved to the shady side to get out of the sun.  Given the conference's strong bias towards night games I wonder if the AD will consider moving the team and students back to the "sunny" side.  That way that prime corner real estate could be sold at higher prices, the TV cameras would get students rather than plastic seats, and everyone on the shady side would be able to hear the band.

The team record on the shady side has been amazing, so I understand if the team just sticks with the status quo.

Yeah, right. We have DirecTV.

Re: ASU at 1PM - BostonCard - 09-18-2017

I will be running a 14-mile Spartan race in Lake Tahoe and thus blissfully unaware of whatever is going on until the race is over.  I suppose the game might be an incentive to finish faster.  Or maybe an incentive to take until about 5 to finish the race, depending on how we do against UCLA.

Huh, my brother is a big fan of Spartan races, I wouldn't be surprised if he's up there with you. Good luck, I hear they're quite an ordeal.
