I like those.  Alamo or Fiesta bowl, though a Holiday bowl wouldn’t be bad.

My rule is if the bowl game existed when I was kid then it's a real bowl game.

Re: Bowl projections - Phogge - 10-15-2017

And the original Camellia Bowl in Sacto. The Bob Toledo Gator team stayed with the powerful SDS (Fred Dryer, Haven Moses) for 2.5 quarters losing 28-6.

I can't believe there has never been a Bean Bowl in Boston.

This is the first I'm hearing of the demise of the Poinsettia Bowl.

Bahamas Bowl?

That was the Popeye's Chicken Bahamas Bowl.  It is played on an awful soccer field, but one does get the sense that the beach is very nearby.  The weather is nice.  The players all need passports.  And Popeye's chicken often announced some promotion or other that would run through the holiday season.  Though recently acquired and their new parent company didn't want to sponsor the game anymore.  Too bad.  I would guess the Atlantis may need to step up, since they really seem to be the force behind the bowl.

I suspect the players would rather go there than Mobile, Shreveport, Detroit, Boise, Memphis, etc.

I can't think of anything more depressing than spending the day after Christmas in Detroit, at Ford Field, watching the MAC/ACC/B1G unfortunates play each other

Re: Bowl projections - BostonCard - 10-16-2017

Lucky for us the players all already have their passports, seeing as they already took a trip to Australia.

Technically speaking, a driver's license will suffice, but the driver's licenses from those nine states do not conform to Federal standards.
