Observations:
1) Holy wildcat Batman! Look at 'Zona shooting up the standings. Have to think they're in the catbird seat for the Pac-12 South.
2) Speaking of the south, it's pretty clearly the worse division by these marks. There's 4 north teams before the second south team.
3) Still in the south, what is going on with ASU? I guess they had a pretty big hole to dig out of, (they bottomed out at -1.32 ypp in week 6) but it's hard for me to buy them when they're this much worse than their opponents on average. Yet they somehow control their own destiny in the south. Strange.
4) It's hard for me to believe that we're barely separated from ND, given how much more hype they're getting. I suppose their schedule has been a bit harder (FEI gives them 2.15 vs our 1.76, meaning an elite team would expect to have 0.35 more losses against their schedule than ours) so I suppose that gives them an edge, but it's probably less of one than most people would expect.
Finally as a bonus, because I mentioned UW's evolution over time, here's everyone (click to embiggen):
I couldn't be bothered to format anyone's colors except ours, we're bright red.

The other one that stuck out to me was Cal. Perhaps rumors of the Bears resurgence are a bit premature? If the YPP is predictive of future results (which it isn't but this is a fun exercise nonetheless), Cal should lose at Colorado, Stanford, and UCLA, and finish the year at 5-7. I would be very entertained by the resulting humiliation
