Coach Leach hires PI, launches website. Still trying to get that $2.5M - Snorlax94 - 10-25-2017

Coach Leach has hired a private investigator to look into the people who made his firing decision at Texas Tech many years ago.

I am not a lawyer, but everything I know says that he has no chance. It actually seems kind of pathetic to me.

The school said he was fired with cause. He filed a wrongful termination lawsuit and the case was dismissed. Then he sued ESPN for libel and lost.

He can argue he thinks it’s unfair if state institutions are immune from lawsuits. But if that is the case under Texas law and his case has been dismissed on these grounds there’s nothing he can do. If anything, I think he should’ve had a better lawyer review the contract before he signed it.

Not to mention he was accused of doing something terrible. Punishing players who had concussions and making them stand in a dark shed.

And he makes 3 million a year now from Wazoo, so it’s not like he is penniless.

He’s never proven the terrible accusations against him are false.
He should’ve understood the contract (and any potential traps) before he signed it.
And after all that, if it’s a lost cause and the courts have ruled against him, he needs to let go and move on.

I guess those pirate tchotchkes are more expensive than I thought.

Doesn’t he have a law degree himself?

I think he should devote his full attention to the wrongful termination for about the next 10 days or so.  Don't worry about his current team. They'll be fine without him for a while.
