Call Chryst Dorothy -

'cause for him there's no place like home:
| Split | Games | Attempts | Completions | Comp Pct. | Yards | Yards/Att | TDs | Ints | Rating | Att/G | Yards/G |
| at Home | 2 | 24 | 16 | 66.7 | 193 | 8.0 | 3 | 1 | 167.14 | 12.0 | 96.5 |
| on Road | 5 | 120 | 62 | 51.7 | 769 | 6.4 | 5 | 3 | 114.25 | 24.0 | 153.8 |
It occurred to me while watching last night that Chryst has been terrible on the road this year (keep in mind these stats include Rice as a road game), but serviceable at home. Looking at it, I think what we're seeing is both that he's been worse on the road, but also that it hints toward the veracity of "The CTCard Theory of Offense": Chryst has far more attempts/game on the road and performs far worse with those attempts.
(As an aside, CompSci or Yvonne, could we get more buffer on table columns? Getting tables readable is a big challenge.)

My feeling is that the entire team's home/away performance split is even more pronounced this year than usual, but I don't know I can easily rustle up the stats to prove it, or compare it to our previous teams or other teams.
Or, I should say, it feels like the offense is particularly prone to home/away performance issues. The defense, save being beat by a healthy USC firing-on-all-early-season-cylinders, has felt more consistent, even if consistent means me gritting my teeth every time the other team decides to run the ball.

I dunno about all that. The defense has been mediocre overall this year; it's benefitted from substantial turnovers luck.
But, yes, broadly the road performances have been poor all year. I'd rank them thusly:
GOOD: none
SOLID: Utah
AVERAGE: None
POOR: SDSU, SC
AWFUL: OSU
In the past, of course, Stanford's had several good or great road performances (2012 Oregon, 2013 Pac-12 champ game @ ASU, 2015 @ SC, to name a few off the top of my head). This year has been notable for the sheer odor of underperformance.
