Well deserved her game against Ohio State was outstanding

It's her time.  I hope she seizes it.  :)

Re: Alanna Pac 12 POW - 81alum - 11-27-2017

In the other thread I compared her 15.1 ppg this season favorably with Brooke Smith and Jayne Appel.  I think she is capable of playing like she just did more consistently.  If she can score in the 30s against the likes of Mavunga and double teams, then she should be able to do well against nearly anyone.  And if she keeps it up all season then she really could be in the pantheon of great Stanford "bigs."

She was excellent against Ohio State and overall in the tournament.  Nice to see.

It's great to see Alanna reaching her potential. I think if she reaches the level she can, she will be so difficult to defend and game plan against. If she can score in the paint as well as Appel and the Ogwumikes could, that would be fantastic. But Alanna also has more consistent range, out to the three point line. I know Nneka and Chiney started shooting the three during their senior years, but Alanna came in with that type of range already in her arsenal. If she can nail 33-37% of her 3 point shots and start shooting even mid-range jumpers when they are denying her the paint, I think she might be an All-American candidate before it's all said and done.

Plus combine that with Brit and DiJonai, especially when they are on a hot streak and some timely outside shooting by our guards, I think our offense will be okay.
