I see you took out the question about Mel Ott. But I have to say that I appreciated the question, as it caused me to peruse his stats. So amazing. I also ended up looking at the stats for Chuck Klein, who might have had the greatest 5-year run of any National Leaguer ever.

On Ott turns out he lead the Giants 20 of 21 years in HRs not the league

Not really. Klein played his home games at the Baker Bowl, where the right field fence was only 280 feet away from home plate. In that 5 year run (1929-1933) he hit 122 home runs at home and 58 on the road. Moreover, the early thirties are the most distorted era in baseball history in terms of offense (in 1930 the national league as a whole hit .303)
Most advanced statistics that normalize statistics for era/park demonstrate the large extent to which Klein's raw numbers are misleading.
Klein was an alcoholic who died young after suffering serious health problems post-baseball, a sad story unfortunately.

Best five-year NL run -- particularly not in the late 20s/early 30s -- was Rogers Horsnby from 1921 to 1925 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He averaged 216 hits, 123 runs scored, 120 RBIs, 41 doubles, 13 triples, 29 home runs, 70 walks and 40 strikeouts per season. His batting average in those five years was .402, OBP was .474, his slugging average was .690, his OPS was 1.164. Hornsby was MVP in 1924, and finished 2nd in MVP voting in 1923, the first year the NL had MVP voting.
In the "augmented" era, Barry Bonds had a five year fun run from 2000 to 2004 in which he averaged 144 hits, 28 doubles, 2 triples, 52 HRs, 109 RBI, 123 runs scored, 174 walks and 63 strikeouts per season. His averages over that time were .339/.535/.781/1.316. Bonds finished 2nd in MVP voting in 2000 and was MVP every year from 2001 to 2004.Â

511. And the highest percentage of home vs road home runs among those with 400+ I believe.
