Is it time to re-evaluate? - cardcrimson - 12-03-2017

Time and time again, the powers that be in college football talk tough schedules, conference championships etc. And it's all BS. Last year OSU, this year Bama, several years ago Bama vs LSU.

Is it time for the Pac-12 to go back to 8 conference games, play three body bag games, and have one decent out of conference game?

I'd hate to see it, but still, over the years, how many BCS and playoffs has the Pac-12 participated? Certainly fewer than was warranted.

It certainly appears that way. It's a travesty that the committee refuses to acknowledge SOS at all.

No. If they are going to have a so-called playoff they need to have all Conferene Champions in. Expand to at least 6.

If not, then I propose a bright line rule - if you don’t win your conference you do not qualify.

But let’s not kid ourselves. This is about money.

Exactly. That's why I'm surprised, with ESPN's new contract with the Big10, OSU wasn't put in. I guess the value of two SEC schools in the playoff is greater than one SEC school and one Big10 school.

Any playoff that doesn’t allow one to play their way in to the field by winning their conference isn’t worthy of the name.

Somehow every other sport survives letting teams decide things on the field instead of a committee choosing the “best” teams
