Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

WSU in the Holiday Bowl.  Darn it.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

Texas in the Texas Bowl.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

Oregon & Boise State in LV Bowl

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - lex24 - 12-03-2017

I like Stanford playing a Big 12 team. I know those who go are not happy with the destination

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

Ohio State and USC in the Cotton Bowl.  Nice.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - SamuelMcF - 12-03-2017

Penn St - Washington Fiesta Bowl

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

And Mich vs. SoCarolina in Outback.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - needle - 12-03-2017

USC-Ohio State
Washington-Penn State
Stanford-TCU
Washington State-Michigan State

For the Pac, several juicy match-ups that should actually get some eyeballs nationally. That definitely hasn't happened every year. The system works?!?

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - lex24 - 12-03-2017

Im more pissed about a Washington in the Fiesta. Not earned on the field. But they travel better.  Monet baby.

No. It doesn’t. Why is Washington in a NY6. Over Stanford. Or TCU?

I can only imagine what the scrambling is like now.  the Pac 12 has four more playoff eligible teams from the original nine: Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington, Washington State

I think they were ranked #11, and entitled therefore to a new year's day game.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

Arizona vs. Purdue in Foster Farms Bowl

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - lex24 - 12-03-2017

I understand that  The rankings carry more weight then what happens in the conference. I just think it’s a joke. I can’t think of another sport that decides these things with a bunch of people sitting around casting ballots.

Frankly Washington doesn’t deserve to be ranked higher Yeah they have a better record. They should. They played a creampuff schedule.

I am sorry, but I can't agree here. Washington is arguably the second-best team in the PAC-12. They lost 2 games. Granted, their out-of-conference schedule was weak. But they won. While I think Stanford is the second-best team in the PAC-12, it isn't insane not to agree with me ( :) in this case at least). Money is probably a factor, yes, but in this case it is not a totally unreasonable choice. They are ranked above us in the polls, even though we beat them.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Mick - 12-03-2017

Liberty bowl is SEC vs. Big 12.  Why are they waiting on announcing?  They're the last of the big traditional bowls to announce.

Re: Bowl Pairings so far - Stymie - 12-03-2017

I like playing TCU.  Maybe Shawvitagren will learn something about offense and vice versa!

Stymie

PS-I'd love to see San Antonio, if I weren't planning to be 5,000+ miles away apres-Xmas pre-Hogmanay......
