Thoughts:
Surprising to see Schultz but not Smith getting some TE love (both deserving but for different reasons).
Bailey was robbed. Who the hell was better then him?
Cool that Little made it despite starting a bit over half a season. Hes going to be a monster next year.
JJaW is a first or second team talent that didnt crack the top due to offensive scheme. Ive never seen a college WR with as good body control and ability to win jump balls.

Bailey made second team. The Utah punter had identical statistics to Bailey and made first team all pac-12 last year. Familiar face + tied in stats = First team all pac-12.

Provides a nice snapshot of another successful season. A lot of talent on this team, particularly on offense. Very good special teams. What kept us from NY6 and possibly the playoff this year was QB play and lack of one or two more playmakers in the defensive front 7.

I also thought it was interesting that Schultz earned that 1st team honor. Of all the juniors and seniors with decisions to make about 2018, his is the most intriguing to me. There's obviously considerable depth at tight end, so I don't have a rooting interest either way. I'm just curious about whether or not he heads to the NFL. I think he's going to be great at that level.

Schultz chose to be introduced as a graduating senior at the football banquet.

I think we're gonna miss him more than people think, even with Smith and Parkinson, who are very different TEs.

I also expect he'll do very well. He may not follow the Ertz or Hooper paradigm of being a receiver first, but will likely be like Levine Toilolo with better receiving skills, which will get him a lot of snaps on the right team.

My guess is that Harrington will assume some of Schultz's blocking responsibilities, along with Smith.

And Shaw, who blamed himself for the loss @ WSU. If we'd won that game we'd have been in NY6 even with the loss on Friday.

Harrington is our second tight end on the short yardage offense. He's looked good there.

When you are basically one game away from going to a New Year's 6 bowl game AND three of your four losses were by a field goal, any number of things could have turned out differently and led us to win a game that we otherwise would have lost. But there are also three games that we won by a field goal or less, and very easily a couple of things could have gone differently and we would have lost.
Overall, I can't really complain about where we wound up. From an overall team quality perspective, we are a good but not great team, and our ranking in the 10-20 range is about right, as is the fact that we are going to the top non-NY6 bowl for the Pac-12. Really, when you step back, the result feels just about right.

Agreed. I believe Schultz will do even better in the pros.

I am hoping that a year of maturation and Turkey will improve Parkinsons blocking. However he is not a Shultz ...
