Consequentially, in the Pac-12 regular season title race, Oregon State was not able to complete the sweep at Washington State, as they tied WSU 7-7 in the series finale due to a weather delay/travel requirements. As such, one figures that if Stanford is able to pick up at least 1 at OSU, they will be in the driver's seat to claim the Pac-12 title, with only a home series against Washington State and a road series at Washington remaining, and with at least a 1 1/2 game lead on OSU (Oregon State and UCLA still have to play each other in Corvallis later in the season). Even a sweep would now only put Stanford 1/2 game behind Oregon State, with that OSU-UCLA series still to play. UCLA got swept in Arizona, so the Bruins are now three full games back of the Card.

New story in the New York Times about the OSU pitcher who committed a sex offense (discussed at length here last year):

Heimlich story

And another from Sports Illustrated last week. It is long and not very enjoyable (to me, anyway) so read at your own risk.
I certainly didn't want to put it on today's game thread!
