Did Stanford really have ZERO sacks against UC Davis?  Someone please explain this to me.

I noticed that the Davis guards had a technique of grabbing and taking down outside rushers that looked a lot like holding to me.  I saw that happen several times--just as an outside rusher was turning the corner with a bead on the QB he would wind up on the ground.  Could be part of the story.

Were they Pac-12 refs?  Were they told not to call holding on the FCS team?

I saw that numerous times, went back and watched it again.  It was as if the officiating crew said "Screw it, holding isn't a penalty for this game."  Even the broadcasters noted the lack of calls.

We had a guy wrestled to the ground around the throat on Davis's ultimately penultimate play. It was egregious but I figured the refs thought it was the last play of the game - but, no, first one and then two seconds showed. If they had called that hold, no TD. Grumble.
