Alabama, Oklahoma, and, Stanford.

Since Notre Dame is tied for fourth with 6 territories, whoever wins the Stanford/Notre Dame game will have the most territories.

If we beat ND, and Cal goes undefeated until the big game we can gain the entire West coast. Except WA and AK. What scenario gives us those? Yes, I'm assuming we beat Oregon State.

Fun stuff. Reminds me of a long-defunct blog from several years ago called, I think, The Heavyweight Championship of College Football. The guy went back to the early days of college football and tracked the championship as if were a heavyweight belt -- beat the champ, and you're the champ. Every once in a while the title would wonder to obscure places, but generally it was in the right place.

That's very popular on the college hockey board I'm on.  In addition to the main belt, there's per-conference belts, per-state belts, Ivy-only belts, and at least one or two alternative belts since some history is sketchy from about 100 years ago.

In short, people on message boards have a lot of time on their hands.

Hey, we resemble that remark!
